I just got a verizon wireless black berry curve..... how can i make it lock so that no one can read my mail?
I set up a password for my phone when i first got it. But now i don't know how to make it work. Whenever i go to read my mail, it never asks for a password.
Thankyou. What do i do once i get to options? (to lock the entire phone).
And is there any easy way to do this...... maybe i could switch it up or something? That way i can easily press a button to lock it?
That way every time i want to lock it i dont have to scroll to options and then do whatever?
There is no way to block the mail itself you have 3 options:
-password protect the whole phone so no one can get in the phone at all unless they know the password (you can do this under options)
-once you read the mail and reply to it, delete it (you can delete all at once by scrolling to the date, pushing the bb button and select delete)
-or if who you don't want reading your mail doesn't know anything about BB's you can go into the full menu scroll to the mail icon(s) push the BB button and select hide(this will hide the icons, to see it push the BB button and hit show all, and it will reappear it will be partly transparent, to hide it again uncheck show all)
You say you've already set up a password so all you need to do is a keybord lock, there should be an icon for this in the full menu, then it will be locked, to unlock it you'll put in the password in the box that pops up
- you say you want to set it as a button, to set it as a button go into options screen/keybord scroll down until you see options to change the convenience keys, you can set either one(left/right) set it to keyboard lock, save, and there you go
